The Arkansas Coalition for Obesity Prevention (ArCOP) was formed in August of 2007 and represents a comprehensive approach to obesity prevention at all levels of influence. Thus far an Executive Committee and five active workgroups have been formed within ArCOP – worksite wellness, built environment, early childhood and schools, access to healthy foods and health care. The collective objective of these groups is the development, implementation and evaluation of an ongoing work plan to influence state, local and organizational policy related to obesity prevention and control. Successfully meeting this objective will result in positive environmental and cultural change for all of Arkansas. Visit ArCOP at: arkansasobesity.org
